Scalp Psoriasis can be difficult to distinguish from other skin conditions, but once you have established that is the problem there are topical treatments that can help.
What is it?
Scalp Psoriasis is an autoimmune condition that causes an overproduction of skin cells on the scalp. Flare-ups are usually intermittent and appear as an itchy red raised area with a scaly silvery coating. The affected area can sometimes spread onto the forehead or neck. A definitive diagnosis can be given with a skin biopsy through your dermatologist.
